AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – February 3, 2009 – AMX® announced today Walt Megura has joined the company as vice president, global market development. Walt will become a member of the AMX Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for strategy development and execution for the vertical segments of Government, Education, and Corporate (Fortune 500) to formally establish the AMX portfolio as the standard technology platform of choice.

"Not only does Walt bring years of sales and channel partner experience to AMX, he adds a new energy that will elevate our sales and business development efforts to a new level as we leverage our success as the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry," says Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. "Walt's deep and extensive background in developing and managing high performance teams in the telecommunications and IT segments will enable him to help AMX navigate through the convergence that the AV industry is experiencing with IT."

Walt will also be responsible for the overall "go to market" efforts for Endeleo, Inspired Signage and Vision² which are focused on helping organizations more effectively create, distribute and manage a complete video experience.

"AMX's mission to simplify the way people interact with technology requires greater "end user customer" focus given the convergence shift occurring in the marketplace," explains Walt. "Today's organizations require reliable, scalable technologies that centralize the management, monitoring and control of those technology assets across the network and I will be collaborating with our dealers, consultants and sales force to help drive significant revenues for AMX."

Walt was previously with Intervoice as senior vice president for the Americas where he was responsible for $120M+ business and most recently delivered the best Q4 in company history.
