Electro-Voice is pleased to announce the release of IRIS-Net V2.4.0 control and configuration software. Following a second-to-none presence at InfoComm 2010, including the launch of the new Dx46 FIR-Drive loudspeaker process and the DM-1 Dante audio network card for NetMax, the latest generation of IRIS-Net software has been launched.
IRIS-Net V2.4.0 not only brings new features and functionality to existing products already under the IRIS-Net umbrella, but expands the family even further with the inclusion of the Dx46 and the DM-1 hardware.
The Dx46 brings FIR-Drive performance to a new, more compact form factor, and all at a price point that makes it accessible for a wide range of portable and installed audio applications. The most powerful 1RU DSP unit available, it offers six channels of 512-tap, complex-phase FIR filters, in addition to EV’s state-of-the-art PA Limiter and TEMP Limiter algorithms.
The integration of the Dx46 in IRIS-Net allows complete control and supervision of an EV sound system, including amplifiers, additional external controls, and much more. Providing complete control, configuration, and supervision through standard or customized interfaces, IRIS-Net allows the ultimate in flexibility for controlling what you want to control, how you want to control it.
The DM-1 may be installed in the NetMax N8000 or N8000-1500 chassis to provide high resolution, low latency audio transmission over IP networks.
Audinate’s patented Dante solution provides a no-hassle, self-configuring, plug-and-play digital audio network that uses standard Internet Protocols. Dante is a scalable solution that works on both 100 Mbits and 1 Gigabit Ethernet. Using Dante, many bulky cables that are typically needed to provide point-to-point analog wiring for AV installations are eliminated. Dante combines industry-leading low latency and sample-accurate playback timing with the convenience and economy of using today’s standard computer networking hardware. In addition, incorporated within Dante is an innovative automatic device discovery and system configuration capability. With this capability, specialized skills are no longer needed to set-up and manage an audio and video media network. Taken together, these capabilities now make AV networking a very simple, realistic, and attractive proposition.
