MAHWAH, NJ, August 14, 2014 – Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, announces that its 80-inch (diagonal) AQUOS BOARD™ (PN-L802B) Interactive Display System can be purchased as part of the Crestron RL and the Polycom CX8000 group collaboration solutions. The interactive display comes as part of Crestron and Polycom's Lync Room System that is primarily geared toward enterprise solutions.   The SHARP 80-inch AQUOS BOARD has been qualified as part of Crestron RL and Polycom CX8000's Lync Room Systems.

"Microsoft Lync has become the gold-standard for modern office settings and Sharp is proud to provide an LED display system for the Crestron RL and Polycom CX8000  ," said Gary Bailer, SIICA's Director of Product Management. "The PN-L802B offers all of the features that make collaboration across business easy and intuitive. With longtime partners Crestron® and Polycom, we've helped create a comprehensive solutions program to fit the collaborative demands of virtually any enterprise."

Sharp's PN-L802B system offers a vivid high-definition (1920x1080), high-impact LED backlit display, making it ideal for use as a digital whiteboard, a critical aspect to collaboration systems. The 80-inch display is one of the larger models to operate with this particular meeting room solution by Crestron RL and the Polycom CX8000 for Microsoft Lync, which other models includes the 55-inch class and 65-inch class displays.

"Lync has quickly established itself as the new universal standard for meeting rooms," said Steve Samson, Crestron Executive Director, Business Development. "We're excited that Sharp has developed a world class multi-touch, large-format display that takes these Lync Room Systems to the next level in medium-sized and large meeting rooms."

In addition to its massive, LED backlit display screen, the AQUOS BOARD serves as a multipurpose business tool with the included Sharp Pen Software™. Its unique interface can be used as a data display for presentations, as well as command and control and data viewing. When used in collaborative settings, the display system can also act as a remote tool to conduct webinars and video conferences, as well as an interactive signage monitor for wayfinding and other interactive applications.
