Posted on Thursday, January 5, 2012

Delivering stunning performance and value, well beyond its price point, this energy efficient display is designed for a wide range of commercial display and digital signage applications

MAHWAH, NJ, January, 2011 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today introduced the new PN-E702. The 70” class (69-1/2” Diagonal), LCD Monitor boasts an impressive screen size and advanced photo alignment technology, creating brilliant color images with maximum impact.

Engineered to meet the demands of a wide range of commercial display and digital signage applications, the PN-E702 offers spectacular full color HD images, portrait and landscape mode compatibility and 24/7 reliability. The 70” class (69-1/2” Diagonal) display stunningly portrays video, graphics, text and more using Sharp cutting edge display technology in full 1080p HD and is best suited for public environments such as hotel lobbies, conference areas, shopping malls, transportation hubs, and sports and entertainment facilities.

“We’re committed to providing our customers with digital signage solutions that are not only reliable but also provide stunning visual display,” said Steve Brauner, senior manager, product planning for professional displays, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “At 70” class [69-1/2” diagonal], the PN-E702 is a leading example of our ongoing commitment to leverage industry leading technologies in order to provide our customers with exceptional image quality and an unparalleled product at an unprecedented price point.”

The PN-E702 is the latest product offering from Sharp that leverages industry leading LCD technologies for exceptional image quality. UV2A* technology used in this panel is extremely energy efficient, allowing for cost savings, as well as a full array LED backlight that simultaneously prevents light leakage. Sharp’s industry leading LED elements seamlessly positioned across the entire 70” class (69-1/2” diagonal) panel ensure that the screen is uniform and full HD resolution helps guarantee everything from fine text to intricate graphics are displayed crisp and clear.

This 70” class (69-1/2” diagonal) monitor delivers 62% more viewing area than a 55” class display. Sharp production capabilities, which include the industry’s only 10th Generation LCD factory, provide a tremendous advantage in supplying the market with superior large screen professional LCD displays.

Durable and engineered for year round commercial use, the PN-E702 is 24/7 certified, and is supported with a 3-year on-site limited warranty. The display can be installed in landscape, or portrait mode. The optional media player PC easily attaches to the rear of the display, providing a complete, all-in-one, digital signage display package.

Now in stock, this system will be available immediately through Sharp’s network of dealers, distributors and VARs for $7,395 MSRP. The PN-E702 is compatible with all options and accessories for Sharp PN-E™ series displays. These include the PN-TPC1 media player PC and PN-ZB01 input/output expansion board.
